Aleksandr design effective corporate structures, supports investors during acquisition and disposal of assets, including real estate and manufacturing facilities. He represents Russian and international companies and private individuals in corporate and commercial disputes, including in bankruptcy proceedings.

Aleksandr successfully supports the procedure of ratifying and enforcing rulings of foreign courts and arbitrators in Russia and represents clients at arbitration courts, including Russia’s Industry and Commerce Chamber’s International Commercial Arbitration Court.
Key Projects
  • Representing a major Russian heat meter manufacturer in the dispute with a major Russian generation company over barring access to the heat energy market. Following the consideration of the matter by the court and FAA, the meter developed by the client was acknowledged as meeting all regulatory requirements and cleared for commercial use.
  • Representing the winner of a tender for the supply of software to Russian schools in a dispute where one of the losing participants sought to invalidate the tender’s results. Following the consideration of the matter by the FAA, tender results were reaffirmed.
  • Protecting an IT company against inclusion into the registry of bad-faith suppliers on the grounds of unilateral termination of a government contract by the contracting party representing the state. Following the consideration of the matter by the FAA, the client was not included into the registry, unilateral termination was acknowledged, invalid and the full value of the contract was adjudicated to the client.
  • Protecting a company in the dispute over its equity participant’s claim for RUB 64 million in unpaid dividends. The claim was denied by the court.
  • Protecting an agricultural producer in the dispute over compulsory purchase of land for the construction of the Berlin – Beijing highway. The client retained ownership over the land.
  • Structuring the client’s cooperation with a Slovak company to develop a new type of weather-resistant loudspeaker. The product has been successfully designed, produced, and certified in the EU and Russia, deliveries to Russia over the OEM channels are set up.
Pro Bono Projects
  • Legal support of a non-profit Center for the Development of Beach and Water Sports, set up by eminent Russian sportsmen to promote and train water sports.
  • Consulting the New Opera World Foundation on holding the international operatic singers’ competition Engagement (the project was supported by the Presidential Fund of Cultural Initiatives).
